About Us

Hi, I’m Y Vy, the co-founder of Yon Crochet Canada-based crochet brand built to make learning crochet feel calm, easy, and actually doable.

I moved to Canada at 19 on a student visa to follow my dream of becoming a designer. After graduating in multimedia design, I faced a tough reality: I had passion, but no industry experience. I spent most of my school years working long shifts at a ramen restaurant, and when job rejections started piling up, the stress got heavy.

That’s when I found crochet.

At first, I was struggled with crochet too, the tutorials felt confusing, and the materials weren’t beginner-friendly. But as I kept going, I discovered a simpler way to learn. That moment sparked the idea for Yon Crochet.

Founded in 2025, Yon Crochet was created with a simple goal: help complete beginners learn crochet without overwhelm. Today, we create all-in-one crochet kits (everything you need in one box) paired with short, guided videos and an easy learning experience designed to keep you moving forward.

With the help of my co-founder Yen Vy Hoang, we’ve built Yon Crochet from the ground up, from design and product development to operations and our learning platform.
