Mini crochet projects you can finish in an evening
Hats, capes, props and costumes for the Yon characters. Each one is small enough to start after dinner and finish the same night, which makes them the easiest way to keep practising once your first plushie is done.
Why small pieces are good practice
A full character takes a few evenings, so a mistake in round four is expensive. A mini piece is forgiving: if it goes wrong you have lost an hour, not a weekend. That makes them the right place to try a technique you have not met before.
Between them these introduce colour changes at a brim, scalloped hems, working flat in rows, lift off lids, standing collars, and embroidery on a curved surface.

What you need first
