the story
Echo is a small lavender bat who never got the memo that bats are meant to be quiet. Instead of hiding in the dark, she fills it with sound: a bright "echo echo la!" that ripples out in little waves and comes bouncing home to show her the shape of everything. She can find a friend behind a wall, a path through fog, or a lost button in tall grass, all by singing at it. Echo's story is about a bat who is nothing like the stories say, and about how being the brightest, noisiest one in the room is its own kind of superpower.
Personality
Sunny and loud in the happiest way. Echo talks in little sound waves, chirping "echo echo la!" at anything new, then giggling when it answers back. She bounces before she thinks, she is never quite still, and she is always the first to try something twice.
Inner Struggle
Echo is so busy making sound that she sometimes forgets to listen. And when the world goes completely quiet, she is not quite sure who she is.
Dream
To send her "echo echo la!" further than any bat ever has, all the way to the far side of the world, and hear it come home.
How They Help
Echo is the group's radar and its cheer squad at the same time. One "echo echo la!" and she knows what is waiting around the corner, and everybody walks a little lighter for hearing it.
